Witryna12 mar 2011 · In Windows Explorer access the NAS using "\\NAS" & Enter. It prompt me for Username & Password. I key-in as settings in the NAS. After copy files I require, I just Close the Windows Explorer. Later someone came to my PC to access the NAS, it doesn't require Username & Password, straight can go in to Copy all files. Witryna30 sty 2024 · I have bought a new PC with Windows 11. I have a NAS (Synology DS413J) that I can connect the file share on, but I can not connect to the NAS DSM management program. I cant find the NAS by using Synology assistent either. I still have my old PC with Windows 10 in the same Lan and all works well. BR Jan Sollander

WitrynaSynology then got back to me and advised that this is a known issue whereby if you are signing in to Windows using the Windows Hello PIN code, then this is incompatible with mapping shares to a network drive correctly. Synology then recommended logging out of Windows and logging back in using the password instead of the PIN.
